Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. seeks a Teacher Assistant to support the ECD program by helping plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for 3- to 5-year-olds.

You will collaborate with a lead teacher in a center setting, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment aligned with Head Start standards. The role requires a CDA credential or higher, High School Diploma or GED with ECD coursework, and bilingual Spanish/English communication.

Qualifications

• Preschool CDA credential or higher required.
• High School Diploma or GED; 6 months experience in ECD setting; 12 credits in ECD or related field; must enroll in CDA program and complete within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing classroom learning to promote school readiness.
• Partner with teacher in a center-based classroom for children ages 3-5.
• Adhere to Head Start standards and health/safety regulations.
• Support families with education, health, and social services as needed.
