Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Early Career Structural Designer to join our Oak Ridge, TN office. You will support the design process, develop BIM models and construction documents for steel, concrete, and masonry structures, and learn new design technologies in a dynamic environment.

The role focuses on gaining experience in BIM modeling, drawings production, and life-changing infrastructure projects across the United States, with full-time employment and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• 0-3 years of industrial, commercial, and/or nuclear projects experience.
• Ability to follow and implement established quality procedures and ensure work is procedurally compliant.
• Competence using Microsoft Office software.
• Reside within a commutable distance from Oak Ridge, TN office.
• Ability to learn new software as necessary for project success.
• Experience using Revit for BIM modeling and drawing production.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing BIM models, design drawings, and construction documents for structures made of steel, concrete, and masonry.
• Participate in the design process and support the development of life changing infrastructure across the United States.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards.
• Adapt to evolving requirements in a fast-paced project environment.
