Amentum is seeking an Early Career Specialty Mechanical Engineer to join our Nuclear Projects team in Oak Ridge, TN, supporting design and delivery of critical facilities.

You will work with mid and senior engineers to develop machine drawings, specifications, stress analyses, and containment concepts, using SolidWorks and ASME Y14.5 standards. Some remote/hybrid work is available with office preference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• General understanding of machine design drawings (ASME Y14.5).

Responsabilités

• Design machine drawings (ASME Y14.5) and develop material/specifications.
• Prepare equipment specifications and stress analyses.
• Develop material handing specs for conveyors, hoists, cranes, lifts, etc.
• Design remote handling equipment and end effectors.
• Develop containment concepts (gloveboxes, hoods, hot cells).
• Ensure design compliance with codes, standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct field inspections and walkdowns of existing mechanical systems.
