Job summary

Boom Supersonic is building advanced aerospace hardware and seeks an entry‑level Manufacturing Engineer to own a defined portion of the manufacturing operation from day one. You will work on engine assembly, machining, tooling, or process development and collaborate closely with machinists and build engineers on the floor.

You should have a relevant engineering degree or equivalent hands‑on experience, plus internships or co‑ops with real hardware work.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least one internship or co-op with real hardware work.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience in a shop, line, or hardware build is required.
  • Genuine curiosity about how things are made and how to optimize for performance and manufacturability.
  • Track record of finishing hard things inside school or outside.

Responsibilities

  • Own a defined piece of the manufacturing operation with accountability for the outcome.
  • Collaborate with machinists, technicians, and engineers to solve floor‑level problems.
  • Build and improve processes, work instructions, and tooling for reliable assembly.
  • Partner with design engineering to simplify parts for manufacturing.
  • Iterate quickly to identify issues, implement fixes, and move to the next problem.
