Job summary

Emerson’s Power & Water Solutions is seeking an Early Career Field Service Engineer in the United States (Houston area or regional offices). You will support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems at customer sites, traveling to power and water facilities to solve real-world challenges.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, work with experienced engineers, and participate in mentorship programs while developing skills in virtualization, simulation, and remote support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Curiosity, adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to travel up to 80% as required.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced automation systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges with customers and deliver effective solutions.
• Learn technologies through hands-on field experience and mentorship from engineers.
• Assist with system testing, quality assurance, and performance evaluations.
• Provide on-site and remote support during project implementation and upgrades.
• Participate in customer training and FATs.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and customers for successful project execution.
• Develop technical and customer-relations skills through real-world experience.
• Contribute to improvement of field procedures and documentation.
• Build understanding of critical infrastructure systems for power and water operations.
