Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Early Career Field Service Engineer to support installation, startup, and maintenance of advanced automation systems at customer sites across North America. The role offers substantial travel to regional offices and customer sites, with mentorship and hands-on training to launch an engineering career in critical infrastructure sectors.

You will learn to troubleshoot complex challenges, work with customers, and gain exposure to leading technologies in virtualization,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Support installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems at customer sites.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and deliver effective solutions for customers.
Learn through hands-on field experience and mentorship from senior engineers.
Assist with system testing, quality assurance, and performance evaluations.
Provide on-site and remote support during project implementation and upgrades.
Participate in customer training sessions and FATs.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and customers for successful execution.
Develop technical and customer-relations skills through real-world work.
Contribute to improving field procedures and documentation.
