Job summary

Emerson Power & Water Solutions is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to join our Southeast Virginia and Eastern Shore regional team. You will gain hands-on experience with control systems, work directly with customers, and learn from experienced engineers who mentor you through project lifecycle stages from FAT to commissioning and support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
Internship, co-op or hands-on technical experience is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated interest in industrial automation, control systems, engineering services, or related fields.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel regionally to support customer projects.

Responsibilities

Support customer sites by assisting with maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems and related equipment.
Learn Emerson technologies and engineering best practices through hands-on training and mentorship.
Diagnose technical issues with experienced engineers and identify effective solutions.
Assist with installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.
Document service activities and technical findings with timely reporting.
Follow safety procedures and develop knowledge in automation and process control.
