Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking an entry-level Facilities Electrical Engineer I for our Bloomington, MN campus. You will support power distribution, BAS integration, and energy monitoring across facility systems, working with senior engineers in a manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes energy efficiency, reliability, and safety. Ideal candidates have a recent electrical engineering degree or early‑career experience and an interest in industrial facility infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience, including internships, co-op assignments, or relevant project experience.
• Basic familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Interest in energy management, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or facility monitoring systems.
• Exposure to power distribution systems through coursework, projects, or internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, evaluation, and improvement of facility electrical systems.
• Assist with electrical engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review electrical drawings and specifications to support facility projects and operational needs.
• Support energy management initiatives and BAS integration.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders on electrical aspects of projects.
• Assist with planning and coordinating electrical feeds for manufacturing tools and equipment.
