Job summary

Seagate Technology in Normandale (Edina/Bloomington area) is seeking a Development Engineer - Early Career to join the Wafer Process Development team. You will support and maintain cutting-edge semiconductor processes, gain exposure to deposition, etch, CMP, and photolithography, and work across shifts to optimize wafer flows and reduce scrap.

You will investigate root causes of failures, coordinate experiments, and perform in-depth data analysis while collaborating with a diverse engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or Physics required.
• Experience with semiconductor processes and data analysis scripting is a plus.
• Able to analyze data and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain processes for latest designs during off-shift hours.
• Gain exposure to cleanroom technologies (deposition, etch, CMP, photolithography).
• Apply problem-solving to optimize wafer flows and reduce cycle time and scrap.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers across shifts.
• Investigate root causes of process failures and coordinate experiments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues on the factory floor.
