Seagate seeks a Wafer Sustaining Engineer I - Early Career to join our Bloomington, MN facility on D Shift. You will optimize and maintain manufacturing processes for R&D and Process Engineering, with training across disciplines in photolithography, vacuum processing, metrology, and data analytics.

In this entry-level role, you will work with senior engineers on projects, gain exposure to JMP, MS Teams, and SharePoint, and contribute to improving yield, quality, and factory efficiency while

Responsibilities

• Perform daily troubleshooting and evaluation of suspect wafers and processes.
• Collaborate with process technicians, engineers, maintenance, and operations to resolve factory and product issues.
• Ensure proper passdown and process documentation; report status of key factory issues to management.
• Conduct SPC monitoring of tools and investigate scrap root causes.
• Provide technician, trainer and operator training for the manufacturing team.
• Review tool qualifications with equipment engineering.
• Develop and improve MS Teams/SharePoint-based workflows and documentation.
• Leverage data analytics: JMP, Excel, Power BI for trend and deviation analysis.
• Support R&D teams and coordinate projects to improve wafer build efficiency.
