Job summary

Affim is hiring an Early Career Analyst to join its Risk & Analytics organization. You will work across customer and merchant lifecycles, using SQL, Python, and modern analytics tools to derive insights and optimize strategies.

You will learn consumer lending fundamentals, collaborate with senior analysts, and contribute to scalable data solutions. The program offers a hybrid model with in-person days in NYC or SF and flexible options after one year.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with completion by Aug 2027 or earlier; relevant internships valued.
• Degree in a quantitative field preferred (Data Science, CS, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Math).
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with data mining, data visualization, and basic statistical modeling.
• Basic understanding of consumer lending regulations and fair lending principles.
• Exceptional communication, humility, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy across product, risk, or growth areas.
• Monitor portfolio health, track metrics, flag risks and anomalies.
• Write clean SQL and Python; support deployment of ML and risk models.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance on regulations and data models.
• Support cross-functional launch alignment with operational capabilities.
• Incorporate AI tools to accelerate data tasks while ensuring accuracy.
