Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or another behavioral health-related field.
• Experience as an EAP counselor or in a similar behavioral health role.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, organization and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic triage and assessments, providing immediate support for behavioral health, substance use, relationship or work-life concerns.
• Coordinate and manage cases from intake to completion with follow-up.
• Make clinical determinations in line with risk policies and member best interests.
• Connect members with network providers and resources.
• Provide in-person and telehealth assessments and brief counseling as assigned.
• Collaborate with colleagues and after-hours providers to support case completion.
• Coordinate referrals and complete session authorizations.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the case management system.
• Consult with HR professionals and client supervisors regarding employee concerns.
• Stay current with industry practices and licensure requirements.
