Job summary

Wells Group, part of BP energy operations, is seeking a Drilling Manager to lead the Eagle Ford drilling team. The role requires strong leadership, extensive wells leadership experience, and a solid background in drilling engineering and operations management.

The successful candidate will drive safety, efficiency, and engineering excellence while coordinating with geologists, production engineers, and HSE professionals to deliver integrated drilling programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of wells leadership experience with drilling engineering & operations.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving and physics-based decision making.
• Track record of managing drilling projects from planning to execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor drilling engineers, technicians, and superintendents to deliver the drilling program.
• Oversee all drilling operations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead engineers to provide fit-for-purpose well designs and drilling programs.
• Collaborate with geologists, production engineers, and HSE for integrated project execution.
