Job summary

bp seeks a seasoned Drilling Manager to lead the Eagle Ford drilling team. The candidate will bring strong leadership, extensive wells leadership experience, and a solid background in drilling engineering and operations management to drive excellent performance.

The role involves coordinating with geologists, production engineers, and HSE, overseeing safety, and delivering optimized drilling programs in a hybrid office/field setup. Relocation may be negotiable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum preferred).
• Minimum 10 years in wells leadership with drilling ops accountability.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Physics-based approach to well design and decision making.
• Proven track record in drilling projects from planning to execution.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor drilling engineers, technicians, and superintendents in Eagle Ford.
• Oversee drilling operations, ensure safety, efficiency and compliance.
• Provide fit-for-purpose well designs and drilling programs.
• Collaborate with geologists, production engineers, and HSE for integrated delivery.
