Job summary

Nucor Steel Kingman, LLC in Kingman, AZ is seeking an EAF 2nd Helper to support the Electric Arc Furnace operations and maintenance. You will assist with furnace deck upkeep, slag sampling, and crane operations while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.

Willingness to cross-train and fill in as needed across the Melt Shop ensures smooth production and teamwork; the role offers exposure to a wide range of manufacturing processes in a leading steel company.

Qualifications

• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• The EAF 2nd Helper supports EAF operations and maintenance, including furnace deck upkeep, slag sampling, and overhead crane operation, along with general housekeeping to keep the Melt Shop running smoothly.
• Teammates must be willing to cross-train in other positions within the department and fill in as needed to support operational needs.

Basic Job Functions

Minimum Requirements

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to withstand working conditions with elevated temperatures.
• Ability to lift moderate to heavy weight (50 lbs.)
