Job summary

Nucor Corporation is seeking an EAF Helper in Kingman, AZ to support Electric Arc Furnace operations and maintenance, with emphasis on safety, efficiency and teamwork in a high-temperature production environment.

The role includes assisting with furnace upkeep, slag sampling, crane operations, and cross-training across the department to meet production needs while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift moderate to heavy weight (50 lbs).

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The EAF 2nd Helper supports EAF operations and maintenance, including furnace deck upkeep, slag sampling, and overhead crane operation, along with general housekeeping to keep the Melt Shop running smoothly. Teammates must be willing to cross-train in other positions within the department and fill in as needed to support operational needs.
