FCCI Services Inc. is seeking a self-motivated individual for an E&S Underwriter Trainee role in the Sarasota, FL area, with opportunities to train across related offices.

The program starts in June 2027 and will develop your ability to underwrite commercial business through a structured mix of instruction, self-study and on-the-job shadowing. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management & Insurance preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and use good judgment.
• Ability to determine customer needs and price appropriately.
• Basic knowledge of underwriting processes and products.

Responsibilities

• Train to underwrite risk and determine acceptance of new and renewal commercial business.
• Learn underwriting guidelines, rating manuals and insurance laws.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agents and insureds in assigned territory.
• Evaluate existing and new accounts and make recommendations within limited authority.
• Participate in extensive on-the-job training.
