Job summary

Ascot Group, a world-class specialty risk underwriter, seeks an Assistant Vice President, E&S Casualty, to lead complex wholesale broker relationships and provide coverage solutions for new and renewal business. Based in Dallas, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to execute underwriting strategy.

You will mentor junior staff, negotiate terms, and stay abreast of market conditions, while upholding The Ascot Way of integrity, collaboration, and client focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of P&C underwriting experience, with General Liability and Excess Liability preferred.
• Must be able to market, manage producers, develop new business, and negotiate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain a profitable book of business through underwriting and strategic planning.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Work within delegated underwriting authority and refer when required.
• Cultivate relationships with peers, leaders, and internal partners to identify cross-selling opportunities and drive operational excellence.
• Build and sustain external relationships with wholesale brokers to market Ascot’s products.
• Provide superior service to brokers and clients with consistent partner engagement.
• Stay current on competition and market conditions to inform leadership and colleagues.
• Manage Associates and Interns.
