Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an instrument, controls, and electrical systems engineer to support maintenance and construction projects. The role includes leading electrical/instrumentation work, developing design concepts, modifying drawings, and programming PLC/SCADA systems.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in a similar role, with knowledge of PLC software and an understanding of process safety management as a plus.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in a similar position.
Working knowledge of PLC and computer software packages.
PSM knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical and instrumentation projects and/or maintenance work to ensure compliance with the national electrical code and site permits.
Participate in the development of project design concepts and criteria.
Provide and modify instrument and electrical drawings as needed.
Write and/or modify programs used by site PLCs, drives, HMIs, and distributive control systems.
Prepare electrical and instrumentation estimates for projects.
Act as a project manager or proposal manager on small electrical and instrumentation projects.
Monitor project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget.
Represent projects at meetings and conferences.
Provide technical support for the facility's instrument and electrical maintenance department.
