Job summary

Veolia is seeking an EI&C engineer to lead detailed electrical designs and process control documentation for water treatment facilities. You will read and comment on P&IDs, design single-line diagrams, and prepare control philosophy and sequence charts for plant operations.

You will collaborate across cross-functional teams, perform FATs and commissioning support, and ensure compliance with UL and CEC standards while delivering safe, reliable automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with design of complex low voltage industrial control systems in compliance with UL and CEC.
• Experience with instrument selection and design calculations.
• Experience with control documentation, automation hardware and PLC/HMI programming.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and comment on engineering documents, including P&IDs, GAs, process design guidelines, return of experience, and engineering best practices guides.
• Interpret, comment and follow contract and customer specifications.
• Perform required calculations and select the appropriate instrumentation for water treatment facilities as well as all supporting documentation (instrument lists, termination drawings, instrument datasheets, etc.) with operator and equipment safety in mind.
• Design the complete detailed electrical design for water treatment facilities (single line diagrams, load lists, I/O lists, network architectures, panel design and schematics) with operator and equipment safety in mind.
• Design the complete detailed process control documents (Control Philosophy, Control Logic & Sequence Charts) for plant operation, for assigned projects.
• Perform FAT's, CVT's and checkouts as required.
