Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead EI&C design for water treatment facilities. You will design electrical and control systems, select instrumentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals.

The role requires extensive knowledge of low voltage controls, PLC/HMI programming, and SCADA, with a strong emphasis on UL/CEC compliance and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with design of complex low voltage industrial control systems in compliance with UL and CEC.
• Experience with instrument selection and design calculations
• Experience with control documentation, automation hardware and PLC/HMI programming
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including coordinating, reporting, documentation, and presentations).

Responsibilities

• Read and comment on P&IDs, process design guidelines, return of experience, and engineering best practices guides.
• Interpret, comment and follow contract and customer specifications.
• Perform calculations and select instrumentation; prepare datasheets.
• Design complete electrical drawings and load/IO lists for water treatment facilities.
• Develop Control Philosophy, Logic, and Sequence Charts for plant operation.
• Execute FATs, CVTs, and checkouts as required.
• Create test plans and automation programs.
• Manage budget, scope, schedule and report risks to project teams.
