Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation QC Inspector in Texas to assure the quality of craft personnel and subcontractors, ensuring installed products meet project requirements as depicted in the plans, specifications and cited codes.

The role requires on-site inspections, documentation with photos, and coordination with MOPO, Shutdown, and Commissioning teams. Strong emphasis on safety, traceability, and compliance with project standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Superintendent with degree, or 5+ years without.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).
• Bachelor/BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred with 4+ years construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures on-site work meets applicable codes and specifications.
• Safely observe and prepare inspection reports with photos and illustrations.
• Performs task assignments for MOPO, Shutdown, Commissioning, and Start-Up Teams.
• Reviews turnover packages prior to Commissioning Startup handoff.
• Surveillance of electrical/SCADA installations and related equipment.
