Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead major data center electrical and instrumentation projects in the Houston or Odessa, TX area. You will own safety, schedule, cost, and quality across a fast-track portfolio from preconstruction through energization and turnover.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in data center construction, strong CPM scheduling and procurement skills, and the ability to interpret contracts and test scripts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own safety, schedule, cost, margin, and client satisfaction across your project portfolio
• Lead teams through installation, energization, testing, commissioning, and turnover of mission-critical systems
• Oversee medium/low-voltage distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and related critical infrastructure
• Manage long-lead procurement and schedule-critical equipment strategy
• Drive weekly project health reviews and lead recovery planning when milestones are at risk
• Coach and develop project managers, superintendents, and project controls staff

Job DescriptionWe are hiring an experienced Program Manager for major construction projects in the Houston or Odessa, Texas area. This is an opportunity to apply your skills on new and large-scale builds and lead our data center electrical and instrumentation projects. You'll direct mission-critical E&I work from preconstruction through energization, commissioning, and turnover — owning safety, schedule, cost, and quality across a portfolio of fast-track projects.

What You Will Do

• Own safety, schedule, cost, margin, and client satisfaction across your project portfolio
• Lead teams through installation, energization, testing, commissioning, and turnover of mission-critical systems
• Oversee medium/low-voltage distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and related critical infrastructure
• Manage long-lead procurement and schedule-critical equipment strategy
• Drive weekly project health reviews and lead recovery planning when milestones are at risk
• Coach and develop project managers, superintendents, and project controls staff

What You Bring

• 5-7 years of direct data center construction experience with progressive leadership responsibility
• Working knowledge of mission-critical electrical infrastructure and commissioning processes
• Strong project controls background: CPM scheduling, cost-to-complete, change management
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, one-lines, and test scripts
• Strong communication, client management, and negotiation skills
• Based in Houston or Odessa, TX, with regular travel to project sites

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, cloud, or AI/HPC data center experience
• PMP, electrical license, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or commissioning credentials

Work Location: On-site in the Houston or Odessa, Texas area
