Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced E&I Program Manager for major data center projects in the Houston or Odessa, Texas area. You will lead mission-critical electrical and instrumentation work from preconstruction through energization, commissioning, and turnover.

The role requires ownership of safety, schedule, cost, and quality across a fast-track project portfolio, with regular travel to site locations and strong client management.

Responsibilities

• Drive weekly project health reviews and lead recovery planning when milestones are at risk.
• Coach and develop project managers, superintendents, and project controls staff.

Location: Houston or Odessa, Texas

Pay: $195,000- $210,000 depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

We are hiring an experienced Program Manager for major construction projects in the Houston or Odessa, Texas area. This is an opportunity to apply your skills on new and large-scale builds and lead our data center electrical and instrumentation projects.

You’ll direct mission-critical E&I work from preconstruction through energization, commissioning, and turnover — owning safety, schedule, cost, and quality across a portfolio of fast-track projects.

What You Will Do

• Own safety, schedule, cost, margin, and client satisfaction across your project portfolio
• Lead teams through installation, energization, testing, commissioning, and turnover of mission-critical systems
• Oversee medium/low-voltage distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and related critical infrastructure
• Manage long-lead procurement and schedule-critical equipment strategy
• Drive weekly project health reviews and lead recovery planning when milestones are at risk
• Coach and develop project managers, superintendents, and project controls staff

What You Bring

• 5-7 years of direct data center construction experience with progressive leadership responsibility
• Working knowledge of mission-critical electrical infrastructure and commissioning processes
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, one-lines, and test scripts
• Strong communication, client management, and negotiation skills
• Based in Houston or Odessa, TX, with regular travel to project sites

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, cloud, or AI/HPC data center experience
• PMP, electrical license, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or commissioning credentials
