Job summary

UNS Energy Corporation in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Planner to analyze, plan, and coordinate the work of the assigned area within the maintenance planning process. You will work with Maintenance, Operations, Material Operations, and Engineering to ensure optimum plant availability and accurate costing.

The role requires strong communication skills, CMMS experience (Maximo, iPROC, Primavera), and the ability to prepare detailed work scopes and budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4–5 years journeyman level experience in mechanical, instrumentation and controls and/or electrician OR 5 years of experience in maintenance planning.
• On-call on weekends and evenings.
• CMMS experience including Maximo, iPROC, Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Receives corrective work requests; develops detailed scopes of work including job plans and job steps, estimates materials and labor and requests parts for Material Operations.
• Administers preventive and predictive work order database for the area.
• Develops detailed requests for pricing and purchase requisitions.
• Manages CMMS activities and information for the area and develops project schedules using critical path technique.
• Verifies spare parts availability and maintains equipment history in the area for reporting.
• Prepares reports on maintenance history and replacement costs.
• Supervises maintenance sections in the absence of the supervisor and ensures safety compliance.
• Assists in budget development and monitoring for compliance and manages purchases and reconciliation.
• Coordinates approvals for hazardous materials as needed.
