Job summary

Smurfit Westrock, Mahrt Operations, is seeking an experienced E&I Multi-craft Maintenance Journeyman for the Papermill in Cottonton, Alabama. The role focuses on industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs, drives, and control systems.

Candidates should have five or more years of journeyman experience, knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Delta-V DCS, and Drives, and be able to read schematics and process diagrams.

Qualifications

• Five+ years industrial experience as Journeyman with E&I specialty.
• Experience with PLCs, DCS, drives, and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, loop sheets, and process diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
• Willingness to work overtime and pass drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Industrial electrical plant maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control equipment in assigned mill area.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, loop sheets, and PDs.
• Utilize test equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Support mechanical work as needed.
