Job summary

EDG is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Drafter III to prepare 3D models and 2D drawings for complex E&I systems in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of drafting experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, along with knowledge of relevant codes and standards. This full-time position is based in Lafayette, Louisiana, with responsibilities including preparing technical drawings and interacting with clients to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Requires accredited drafting training and discipline training or have prior working experience.
• Requires a minimum of five (5) years of drafting and design experience relating to Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas facilities.
• Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Working knowledge of Electrical Codes NEC and IEC is needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings for assigned projects with minimal supervision.
• Review information for inconsistencies and question errors.
• Interact with design teams and clients to resolve design issues.
• Ensure all drawings meet company standards and client expectations.
