Job summary

EDG Houston is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Designer/Drafter to produce 3D models and 2D drawings for offshore and onshore structural systems, under the direction of a Group Leader.

Responsibilities include preparing models from sketches, detailing, making AFC through design, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring compliance with standards, with occasional field work and travel as project needs.

Qualifications

• Requires at least five years of structural drafting experience in upstream/downstream oil & gas facilities.
• Accredited drafting training or equivalent work experience required.
• Familiar with AISC, AWS, API RP 2A, and OSHA standards.
• Proficient in MS Office; able to annotate drawings and maintain project files.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models and drawings from sketches or outputs and from verbal instructions.
• Design details and specify dimensions and materials.
• Draft skids/modules and onshore/offshore structures from concept through AFC.
• Edit drawings from markups and coordinate with engineers to resolve issues.
• Ensure drawings meet Client, Industry, and Company Standards and assist with field data gathering.
