A respected and growing law firm in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking an E-Discovery Attorney to join its litigation team. This role blends litigation and technology through handling complex discovery.

You will advise on e-discovery, manage holds and productions, collaborate with litigation support, and develop search terms and protocols. A J.D. and Alabama bar, plus 3+ years in e-discovery, are required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Alabama Bar license required.
• 3+ years of litigation or e-discovery experience.
• Experience with Relativity, Everlaw, or DISCO required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise attorneys and clients on e-discovery and ESI matters
• Manage legal holds, collections, review workflows, and productions
• Oversee privilege review, quality control, and document review projects
• Analyze emails, documents, databases, and chat communications
• Partner with litigation support teams, forensic specialists, and vendors
• Assist with discovery strategy, search term development, and review protocols
• Handle privilege, preservation, relevance, and proportionality issues
• Track discovery deadlines, production schedules, and case milestones
