Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an E-Discovery Application Administrator II in Chantilly, VA. This full-time, experienced role supports IT legal services by developing, modifying, and maintaining complex programs and databases used in litigation.

Responsibilities include translating requirements into code, testing and debugging, improving efficiency, and creating user interfaces and ad hoc reports. The ideal candidate has relevant programming experience and a BS in CS or IT.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • 2+ years of directly applicable programming experience.
  • 3+ years total programming experience, including large-scale DB systems.

E-Discovery Application Administrator II

Full‑time, Experienced – Department: Legal Services – Employment Type: Full‑Time, Experienced.

This role provides IT legal support using various programs to independently develop, modify, and maintain complex programs supporting litigation environment applications such as litigation support databases, associated management systems, and analytical systems.

Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Independently develop, modify, and maintain a complex program.
  • Translate program requirements into program code.
  • Test, debug, and refine programs to process data in accordance with written specifications.
  • Revise programs to increase efficiency and reduce operating time.
  • Develop data entry screens and other user interfaces and implement standardized reports, and create and generate specialized and ad hoc reports as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Requires substantial, hands‑on programming experience in the systems environment being used.
  • At least two years of directly applicable experience is required.
  • At least three years of overall programming experience will generally be expected, including experience with large‑scale database management systems.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred – preferably in computer science or information management/technology disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation networks, and PC and server‑based databases and applications.
  • Supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Experience in automated litigation support.
