Job summary

A dedicated IT services provider in Dallas is seeking a skilled programmer to provide full-time IT legal support for a federal agency. The role includes developing and maintaining complex programs for litigation support applications. Ideal candidates will have substantial programming experience, excellent communication skills, and preferably a degree in computer science or technology. Qualifications

  • Substantial hands-on programming experience in relevant systems.
  • Minimum two years of directly applicable experience.
  • Three years of overall programming experience, including large-scale database management.
  • At least three years of overall programming experience will generally be expected, including experience with large-scale database management systems.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred – preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines.

Overview

CGS is seeking a dedicated worker with exceptional experience in the eDiscovery space to support a large federal agency. In this position, you will be providing full-time IT legal support services using various programs. As an expert programmer, you will independently develop, modify, and maintain complex programs to support litigation environment applications, such as litigation support databases, associated management systems, and analytical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Independently develop, modify, and maintain a complex program.
  • Translate program requirements into program code.
  • Test, debug, and refine programs to process data in accordance with written specifications.
  • Revise programs to increase efficiency and reduce operating time.
  • Develop data entry screens and other user interfaces and implement standardized reports, and create and generate specialized and ad‑hoc reports as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Requires substantial, hands‑on programming experience in the systems environment being used.
  • At least two years of directly applicable experience is required.
  • At least three years of overall programming experience will generally be expected, including experience with large‑scale database management systems.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred – preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines.
Desirable Skills
  • Broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation networks, and PC and server‑based databases and applications.
  • Supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Experience in automated litigation support.
