Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic E-Commerce Computer Technician to join our E Commerce - Blue Springs team. The role supports refurbishment of donated computers and requires communication across teams, adherence to safety, and quality standards.

The position is hourly, full-time, with up to $250/month bonus potential. Benefits include medical, retirement plans, PTO, and growth opportunities, aligned with a mission-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; no degree required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and management.
• Organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Experience performing POST diagnostics on computer operating systems.
• Knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
• Experience identifying computers suitable for refurbishment.
• Familiarity with Dell and Microsoft refurbishment requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and distribute items according to quality standards.
• Inspect and identify end-of-life computers versus refurbishable devices.
• Install and run software using USB drives or DVDs.
• Prepare approved computers for the refurbishment process.
• Ensure high-quality refurbished computers are processed and shipped timely.
• Meet daily production goals and performance expectations.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles clear and hazard-free.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguard assets from harm, report theft or unauthorized possession.
• Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
