Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries seeks an E-Commerce Computer Technician to join the Blue Springs team. The role involves inspecting, refurbishing, and preparing computers for sale or shipment, while meeting daily production goals and upholding safety and quality standards.

No degree is required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and basic math skills are essential, along with knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

Qualifications

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and distribute items according to quality standards.
• Inspect and identify end-of-life computers versus devices that can be refurbished.
• Install and run software using USB drives or DVDs.
• Prepare approved computers for the refurbishment process.
• Ensure high-quality refurbished computers are processed and ready for shipment in a timely manner.
• Meet daily production goals and performance expectations set by management.
• Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and work cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
• Utilize safe work practices through awareness and observation and contribute to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguard agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
