Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a team-oriented associate to pick and assemble online orders at the store for customer pickup. You will ensure items are fresh, accurate, and bagged properly, while processing payments and coordinating substitutions as needed.

In this role you will interact with customers, maintain cleanliness, and support training for new e-Commerce team members. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must read shelf tags and follow guidelines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills including counting, addition and subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Initiate and complete selection process for customers' on-line orders.
• Read and follow directions given in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls professionally.
• Retrieve each customer's order from all staging locations and load order into customers' cars.
• Process the orders through the POS system.
• Follow policies to determine substitutions when items are out of stock.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Learn and adapt to new and improved processes.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts in a respectful manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
