Job summary

Kroger is hiring for an e-Commerce order picker to assemble and load online orders for customers at pickup. You will process coupons and payments, use the POS system, and ensure order accuracy and freshness while providing a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include meeting customer expectations, following safety guidelines, and communicating substitutions or issues at pickup. Training and teamwork are emphasized in a fast-paced store setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work without supervision.
• Able to read shelf tags to locate items quickly.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction) needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Initiate and complete selection process for customers’ online orders.
• Read and follow directions given in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone and respond professionally.
• Retrieve each customer’s order and load into their car for pickup.
• Process orders through the POS system.
• Follow policies to determine substitutions when items are out of stock.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup time.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Learn and adapt to new processes and improvements.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a constructive manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues.
