Job summary

Kroger Co. in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking an assistant in Store e-Commerce to support day-to-day operations of the e-Commerce department. This role ensures customers experience ease of shopping with a wide variety of products and timely fulfillment of orders.

The role requires supervising experience, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to train teammates. It offers a pathway to lead the department in the absence of the manager and involve participation in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience required.
• Ability to read shelf tags.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Solid basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Self-directed with ability to execute projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness and cleanliness.
• Ensure team members adhere to laws, safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Perform responsibilities of selectors and customer attendants as needed.
• Train all functions and duties of the selector and customer attendant roles.
• Act as person in charge of the e-Commerce department when the Store e-Commerce manager is unavailable.
• Assist with scheduling to meet operational and associates’ needs.
• Maintain intake of customer orders and distribute work to selectors and attendants.
• Print and distribute order labels, including perishable orders.
• Troubleshoot e-Commerce equipment and devices.
• Maintain supplies and ensure cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, item location discrepancies to the e-Commerce manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Learn and implement process improvements from the e-Commerce team.
• Provide feedback on daily and annual performance.
