Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic E-Commerce Books & Media Listing associate for the Blue Springs team. The role involves listing products online, scanning barcodes, and ensuring items meet quality standards while collaborating with store teams.

No degree is required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. The position offers hourly pay of $16.00 and a bonus potential of up to $250 per month, with comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.

• Complex reasoning and decision-making skills; typing 40+ WPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make initial decision if product is complete without significant cosmetic or physical damage.
• Scan barcode and wait for accept/reject notification.
• Place rejected items in appropriate container.
• Determine category for accepted items and insert descriptors.
• List products for online sale, print tickets, and secure items.
• Place listed media on designated cart; prepare and clean the production station.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles clear and hazard-free.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguard assets and report incidents of theft or misuse.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, safety, and security regulations.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Make an initial decision if the product is complete without significant cosmetic or physical damage. Unacceptable items are put in the appropriate container.
• Scan the barcode of selected items and wait for the "accept" or "reject" notice.
• Rejected items are put in the appropriate container.
• Determine the category for accepted (Very Good/Acceptable) and insert preset descriptor.
• List products for online sale, print tickets, and secure the item.
• Place listed media on the designated cart.
• Prepare the production station before and clean the station after every shift.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
• Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
