Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring for an E-Commerce Books & Media Listing role at the Blue Springs location. The position is hourly full-time with an $16.00 hourly rate and a potential bonus up to $250 per month.

Ideal candidates are energetic, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities include listing products for online sale, processing media, and maintaining the production station.

Qualifications

• No degree is required.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with coworkers, customers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Make an initial decision if the product is complete without significant cosmetic or physical damage.
• Scan the barcode of items and wait for accept/reject notice.
• Sort rejected items to the correct container.
• Determine category for accepted items and insert descriptor.
• List products for online sale, print tickets, and secure items.
• Place listed media on the designated cart.
• Prepare and clean the production station before and after shifts.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership.

Qualifications

No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED Preferred. The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with co-workers, customers, and management. Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population—necessary math, computer, and website navigation skills. Complex reasoning and decision-making skills are required. The ability to type 40 + WPM is strongly preferred.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Make an initial decision if the product is complete without significant cosmetic or physical damage. Unacceptable items are put in the appropriate container.
• Scan the barcode of selected items and wait for the "accept" or "reject" notice.
• Rejected items are put in the appropriate container.
• Determine the category for accepted (Very Good/Acceptable) and insert preset descriptor.
• List products for online sale, print tickets, and secure the item.
• Place listed media on the designated cart.
• Prepare the production station before and clean the station after every shift.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
• Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Immediate date of hire individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
