Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Recycling & Warehouse Associate for the Millstream location in Bridgeton, MO. The hourly full-time role pays $15.50 per hour with potential bonuses up to $250/month, and includes comprehensive benefits for eligible employees.

Responsibilities include unloading donations, sorting goods, preparing shipments, and maintaining inventory control while upholding safety and security standards.

Qualifications

• Math basics: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments and move products to designated areas.
• Ensure accuracy and damage-free inbound/outbound shipments; report variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment; verify exact quantity and type.
• Perform picking duties to meet customer service standards.
• Move product from staging to trailers efficiently.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online, salvage, trash).
• Operate machinery safely for tipping or compacting designated products.

Qualifications

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• Efficiently move product from staging and storage areas into trailers.
• Sort donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines.
• Use machinery safely and appropriately to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling.
• Maintain high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
• Safeguard company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Risk Management, or employee hotline.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
