Job summary

Sun Technologies in New York City is seeking a qualified operations analyst for a 5-month contract to support e-commerce order management and data analysis. The role requires hands-on experience with SAP Order Management, Excel advanced functions, and UAT/testing to ensure accurate order processing.

You will troubleshoot order flow issues, coordinate with Customer Service, and log bugs in Jira, while aligning with logistics and fulfillment teams.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyze daily order reports and identify delayed or stuck orders.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Sales & Distribution / Order Management modules to look up or re-trigger orders.
• Strong data analysis with Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to manage large order files.

Responsibilities

• Analyze daily e-commerce order reports and troubleshoot root causes (e.g., payment holds, inventory sync issues).
• Work directly in SAP Order Management to look up, adjust, or re-trigger orders.
• Log detailed bugs in Jira with reproduction steps and coordinate with IT/dev teams.
• Use advanced Excel to review and manipulate large order datasets.

Specific Skills Needed:

• Top 3-5 mandatory and/or minimum requirements
• Order Flow & Exception Troubleshooting: Proven experience analyzing daily e-commerce order reports, identifying delayed or stuck orders, and troubleshooting root causes (e.g., payment holds, inventory sync issues, fulfillment pipeline errors).
• ERP / Order Management Systems: Hands-on experience working directly in SAP (Sales & Distribution / Order Management modules) to look up, adjust, or re-trigger orders.
• Ticketing & Bug Logging: Working proficiency with Jira to log detailed technical bugs, capture reproduction steps, and track resolutions with IT/dev teams.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data filtering) to manipulate and review large order files.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Experience handling direct escalations from Customer Service and providing fast, structured solutions.

• E-Commerce Web & UAT Testing: Experience testing, validating checkout flow, and logging frontend bugs for website updates or promotional launches.
• Retail/Optical/E-Commerce Background: Familiarity with high-volume digital retail, omni-channel distribution, or customized consumer goods order flows.
• Self-Starter / High Agility: Ability to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment with minimal handholding to solve bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with WMS & Logistics: Understanding of warehouse handoffs, shipping carrier updates, and order fulfillment lifecycle tracking.
