Job summary

WorkSmart Staffing is seeking an E-Coat Forklift Operator for the Piedmont, SC area on 2nd shift. The role pays $20.50 per hour and requires operating sit-down forklift equipment, performing pre-shift inspections, and aiding inventory control.

Expect a fast-paced manufacturing environment with 3:00PM–11:30PM shifts, possibly 6–7 days per week. Responsibilities include maintaining 5S standards, using scanners, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down forklift or similar material handling equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Comfort with scanners and labeling for inventory control.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and related lift equipment to move materials to designated locations.
• Complete pre-shift inspections and operate equipment per procedures and safety standards.
• Use scanning/labeling and support inventory control and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards and follow plant and EHS procedures.

Job Title: E-Coat Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift Location: Piedmont, South Carolina 29673 Hourly Rate: $20.5 Schedule: 3:00PM- 11:30PM (Shifts could last 10 hours/Could be scheduled 6-7 days a week)

Job Overview Operate electric or gasoline-powered lift equipment to move, stack, stage, and transport materials and equipment within production areas, the warehouse, and storage yards. Perform required scanning and inventory-related tasks while following safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.

What You’ll Do

• Operate forklift and related lift equipment to safely move and position materials to designated locations.
• Complete pre-shift inspections and operate equipment according to procedures and safety standards.
• Use scanning/labeling and support inventory control and reconciliation activities as required.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in work areas and follow plant and EHS procedures.
• Participate in required meetings and support continuous improvement and operational benchmarks.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience operating sit-down forklift or comparable material handling equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in an actively paced manufacturing environment.
• Comfort using scanners/labels and supporting inventory control processes.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and follow work instructions and documentation.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license required.
