WorkSmart Staffing in Piedmont, South Carolina is seeking a FLO/Production Associate for 1st shift. You will operate powered equipment, move materials, and help maintain safety and inventory accuracy.

The role requires following EHS procedures, performing pre-shift checks, and participating in cross-training. This fast-paced team environment values reliability and good housekeeping. We offer health benefits, 401k, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow safety and operating procedures.
• Experience operating sit-down forklift or similar equipment, or willingness to train.
• Comfort using computer systems for scanning and inventory reconciliation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with safety and housekeeping expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment to move products and materials to designated locations.
• Follow plant and EHS procedures, including PPE use and safety reporting.
• Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and safe shutdown procedures.
• Use scanning/labeling processes to support inventory control and tracking.
• Maintain 5S and good housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Attend required meetings and cross-training as needed.

Job Title: FLO/ Production Associate 1st shift Location: Piedmont, South Carolina 29673 Hourly Rate: $20 Schedule: 6:00AM - 2:15PM (Shifts could last 10 hours/Could be scheduled 6-7 days a week)

Job Overview

Operate industrial equipment in a manufacturing/warehouse environment to move, stage, and transport materials safely. Support production flow by following safety procedures, maintaining accurate inventory via scanning, and maintaining organized work areas while meeting performance expectations for quality, safety, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Operate powered industrial equipment with lifting attachments to move products, materials, and equipment to designated locations within production and storage areas.
• Follow plant and EHS procedures, including required PPE use, safety rules, and reporting of safety concerns.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and follow safe parking/shutdown procedures each shift.
• Use scanning and label/reconciliation processes to support inventory control and accurate material tracking.
• Maintain 5S standards and good housekeeping throughout assigned work areas.
• Participate in required meetings and cross-training to support department needs.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and follow safety and operating procedures, including written work instructions
• Experience operating sit-down forklift or similar powered industrial equipment (or ability to be trained)
• Comfort using computer systems and completing scanning/labeling and inventory reconciliation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, active environment while consistently following safety and housekeeping expectations
