A well-established law firm is seeking an E-Billing Specialist to join its finance and accounting team in New York. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate electronic billing processes across multiple client platforms. The position involves coordination with attorneys, administrative teams, and clients to maintain consistent billing compliance and support firmwide financial operations.
Compensation
$75,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Support the billing leadership team with client onboarding, rate updates, and e-billing system setup.
- Manage and transmit invoices through a range of client e-billing platforms.
- Identify and resolve issues related to rejected or delayed invoices.
- Maintain billing codes, rate structures, and timekeeper information in internal systems.
- Generate and distribute reports on invoice status, including unsubmitted or rejected bills.
- Prepare invoices and handle appeals, accruals, and budget updates within e-billing systems.
Client & Attorney Support
- Coordinate special client billing requests in collaboration with billing management and compliance teams.
- Implement client-specific rate arrangements and ensure accurate application in the billing system.
- Communicate billing procedures clearly to attorneys and staff to promote consistency and efficiency.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and collaborate with collections staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate client and matter data in partnership with compliance and conflicts teams.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a professional services environment; law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with financial and billing software; familiarity with 3E or similar platforms preferred.
- Knowledge of eBillingHub, BillBlast, or comparable e-billing tools a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
