Job summary

Ambient is seeking a Dynamics 365 Project Manager to lead sprint delivery across CRM, Field Service, and Business Central ERP. This role blends project management with business analysis, crafting well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria while guiding cross-functional teams.

You will chair Agile ceremonies, maintain Jira visibility, and collaborate with product management to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. A 5+ year ERP/CRM delivery track record is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in project management and business analysis.
• Hands-on experience with at least one Dynamics 365 application in a delivery, functional, or business analysis capacity.
• Proficiency with Atlassian Jira and Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Exposure to ERP/CRM implementations, system integrations, or M&A integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own sprint delivery in Jira across our three Dynamics 365 applications (CRM, Field Service, and Business Central ERP), including development, QA, and UAT activity.
• Run Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives) and keep Jira an accurate reflection of work status.
• Prepare and deliver regular status reporting to product owners and senior management, highlighting achievements, timelines, risks, and issues.
• Establish and use delivery metrics (cycle time, throughput, defect and rework trends) to drive continuous improvement.

Job Description

Role: Dynamics 365 Project Manager

We are seeking a Dynamics 365 Project Manager to lead sprint delivery for the continuous improvement of Ambient's Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform: CRM, Field Service, and Business Central ERP. This is a project management role at its core, and the strongest candidates will also bring genuine business analysis craft: expert-level story writing with clear, testable acceptance criteria, disciplined backlog hygiene, and the analytical judgment to weigh scope, priority, and business impact. You will partner with an experienced product management team that uses AI tooling to accelerate first-draft requirements, freeing this role to focus on the analysis that cannot be automated: refining drafts into complete, well-documented user stories, pressure-testing acceptance criteria, and making the scope calls that keep delivery honest. As part of Ambient's IT Project Management Office (PMO), you will collaborate with technical teams, quality assurance analysts, support analysts, and business users across the company.

Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership

• Own sprint delivery in Jira across our three Dynamics 365 applications (CRM, Field Service, and Business Central ERP), including development, QA, and UAT activity.

Backlog Ownership And Story Craft

• Own backlog quality in Jira: apply business analysis expertise so every work item carries specific requirements, priority, and business justification.
• Refine AI-assisted requirement drafts into complete user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Distinguish scope changes from missed requirements; quantify business impact and urgency to support prioritization decisions.
  

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for sprint activity across all three Dynamics 365 applications, keeping IT, product owners, and stakeholders aligned.
• Communicate sprint status, risks, and changes clearly and proactively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with at least one Microsoft Dynamics 365 application (Sales/CRM, Field Service, or Business Central) in a delivery, functional, or business analysis capacity.
• Proven project management experience running Agile/Scrum delivery: sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and release coordination.
• Demonstrated business analysis craft: user story writing, acceptance criteria, and requirements refinement. This skill set is essential to success in the role.
• Proficiency with Atlassian Jira: work item management, reporting, and dashboards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience across more than one of the three Dynamics 365 applications we run.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant) or MB-800 (Business Central Functional Consultant) are a plus; PMP, CSM/PSM, or similar are also valued.
• Exposure to ERP/CRM implementations, system integrations, or M&A systems integration.
• Problem-solving mindset, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in project management and business analysis, ideally in ERP/CRM environments.
  

Work Environment

• Agile delivery model with an established sprint cadence across three application teams.

Estimated compensation:

$125,000 – $135,000/yr with flexibility based on experience and skills.
