Job summary

Think Together seeks a Substitute Older Youth Leader to work part-time with an assigned class of 20–25 students, serving as a positive adult role model and mentor. The role includes homework support, enrichment activities, and safe, engaging instruction in a school setting.

Requirements include 48 college units or a bachelor’s degree, English proficiency, and the ability to pass Live Scan. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

Ability to speak and write Standard English in a public-school setting.
Minimum age of 22.
Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
TB Test required.
At least six months experience working with a group of 10+ students.
Advanced Math and English skills (6–12 grade).
Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).

Responsibilities

Lead a group of ~25 students in an instructional setting with strong behavior and safety standards.
Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum.
Create an engaging environment fostering belonging and positive behavior choices.
Support youth through lesson plans and age-appropriate activities.
Ensure safety and assist with setup, break down, and site maintenance.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with THINK Together policies.
