Job summary

Swift Currie is seeking a Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys, communicate with clients and related parties, and manage a high-volume caseload from our Birmingham, AL office.

The ideal candidate will review medical records, draft subpoenas, prepare pleadings and discovery, and assist with depositions, mediations, and trials while maintaining confidentiality and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a paralegal preferably in the workers' compensation practice area
• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate

Responsibilities

• Review file materials and medical records for case management purposes
• Issue subpoenas and summarize records received in response to same
• Prepare and electronically file pleadings and discovery
• Assist attorneys with preparation for depositions, mediations, and trials
• Track and bill time to appropriate matters
