Job summary

ALAGOOD CARTWRIGHT BURKE PC, a boutique law firm, seeks a skilled Paralegal with experience in general civil litigation and personal injury, with potential probate exposure. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will draft pleadings, assist with trial prep, manage case files, and coordinate with clients, courts, and colleagues. Proficiency in LexisNexis and Practice Panther is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation and/or personal injury (preferred).
• Knowledge of state and local court procedures; some federal experience may be required.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (Practice Panther).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Draft, file, and manage pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Maintain case files and track/calendar important deadlines.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and all counsel in a professional manner.
• Conduct legal research using LexisNexis.
• Order, review, and organize medical and legal records.
