Job summary

Dollar General in Kentucky distribution center is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle merchandise quickly and accurately within the facility.

You will move items by hand or forklift, verify receipts, label and palletize, replenish pick areas, and fill store orders while maintaining safety and quality. Ideal candidates communicate well, perform basic math, operate RF units, and are comfortable with warehouse systems; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for coworker interactions and reports.
• Basic math skills for data entry and counts.
• Ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) unit.
• Ability to learn operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in an automated distribution center preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move merchandise within the distribution center using hands, hand trucks, or forklift.
• Verify and audit received merchandise; enter data into remote terminal.
• Identify, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
• Replenish pick areas based on reports and requests.
• Fill store orders by moving merchandise to conveyor.
• Load outgoing merchandise into trailer.
• Report damages and vendor issues to supervisor.
• Maintain safety, productivity and quality standards.
