The School of Music serves majors and non-majors and values a pedagogy rooted in classical tradition while supporting multiple genres and styles, including Musical Theatre and CCM. The successful candidate will lead private voice lessons and teach courses in voice, diction, vocal pedagogy, and song

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in performance required by appointment date.
• Proven record of excellence as a studio teacher and performer.
• Ability to teach voice classes (voice, diction, pedagogy, song literature) and related courses.

Responsibilities

• Private applied voice lessons for majors and non-majors.
• Teach classroom courses such as voice class, diction, vocal pedagogy, and song literature.
• Support student participation in vocal ensembles (choir, opera).
• Possible involvement in directing opera and musical theatre; participate in shared governance.
