Job summary

Rocket Companies, Inc. is seeking an Event Facilities Technician to prepare, maintain, and reset event spaces within our Rock Events portfolio in Detroit.

You will set up tables, chairs, stages, and furnishings, break down spaces after events, and ensure rooms are clean and guest-ready throughout operations. You will work hands-on, stay active, and collaborate with Event Managers to execute floor plans accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in event setup or venue operations preferred, but not required.
• Attention to detail and ability to keep spaces clean.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up event spaces per floor plans and specs.
• Break down spaces and store furniture and equipment.
• Complete room flips and adjust layouts between events.
• Clean and prep indoor/outdoor spaces before, during, and after events.
• Maintain cleanliness and guest-facing areas.
• Assist clients, vendors, and partners with load-in/load-out.
• Coordinate with Event Managers to ensure efficient setups.
• Respond quickly to last-minute changes and adjust layouts.
• Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and report issues.
• Support other venues and teams as needed.
• Respond during emergencies and evacuations.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
